ICC CEO to be Present In The INDO PAK World Cup Clash of the Vision Less

The International Cricket Council (ICC) strengths the hand of CABI. Yesterday in Dubai International Cricket Council (ICC) CEO Mr. David Richardson met Mr. G K Mahantesh, President of Cricket Association for the Blind in India and World Blind Cricket Ltd & officials during the 5th ODI Blind Cricket World Cup.

At the meeting yesterday (9th January, 2018), Mr. Mahantesh spoke about the importance of developing blind cricket in India in particular and world in general. He explained the importance of ICC patronage to develop blind cricket globally. They also shared the positive transformation of game contribution to visually impaired in India like getting recognition, government providing cash prizes, job security and civilian awards. He also expressed his views saying “ We will be extremely happy and more than proud to take this to other countries if ICC supports us”.

Mr. David was very positive and expressed his interest to explore all possible ways to support blind cricket across the globe. He will also talk to his other member countries and extend maximum support.  He has also confirmed his presence for the upcoming India & Pakistan match which will be played on 12th Jan. As a token of appreciation CABI presented him with a ball and he returned the gesture by giving them ICC ties. Mr. Mahantesh truly believes and hopes that support from the ICC will take blind cricket to next level in terms of reach and awareness.

Away there in Karachi the Pakistan Blind Cricket Council has expressed disappointment at the decision of the Indian government for denying  clearance to the national blind team to play the World Cup in Pakistan. 

"It is very disappointing because we had planned a show case match of the World Cup in Lahore. Now we have been forced to relocate it to the UAE," Asif Azeem, the media manager of the PBCC, said.

Ahalya, a film By Sujoy Ghosh: Film and Review

Sujoy Ghosh's new endevour,  AHALYA an epic thriller of shorter duration (14min)
Its a must watch. Beautiful knit thriller film. Some treatment of the film is like a short story. Those will trigger your emotion and consciousness after the film reaches to the credit title.

You start thinking "How did it happened?" The care while making the film is just like making a full length film. Rather i think the director has taken more care due to the direction itself. Its like putting sugar in to a glass of water. When the water minimize the more sweetness is obtained. Here i take water for duration and sugar for care and quality of film making. I can ensure you as a viewer you won't be frustrated after 14 mins. Happy viewing Ahalya

The Blind Eyes of Indian Cricket

They also rule the 22yeards. They also raise the World Cup. They also hold the Tricolor of the Nation high. But they are the forbidden heroes in our nation where people 'Eat' 'Drink' & 'Sleep' Cricket.

They are not affiliated with our apex cricketing authority BCCI. They are the Blind Cricket Team of India.

The Indian blind cricket team was formed in 1998. Currently, the team is managed by the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI). It is associated with World Blind Council, and is the apex body governing blind cricket in the country.  Around 25 states are associated with CABI and it is the only authorizing body to get other teams to play blind cricket
Despite their struggles, the team has been formidable and its performance exemplary. In December 2012, India won the first T20 world cup in Bangalore and in 2014, they won the ODI World Cup in Cape Town.

Having no or less vision in their eyes now the current squad is dreaming to win the WORLD CUP. It was scheduled to that Gaddafi, Lahore will host the Final of this World Cup. But if the Indian Men in Blues qualify for the finale then the final will be held at Dubai, reports Perfect Relations, managing the team's public relations.

The defending champion does have their own dedicated practice pitch or training center met the Delhi Chief Minister Shri Arvind Kejriwal at his residence in the morning. CM was very warm in welcoming the team and also was very inquisitive about Blind Cricket. Mr. Mahantesh GK, President Of The Cricket Association for the Blind in India and Mr. Samarthanam explained to CM regarding blind cricket. He requested CM to allot a permanent training and playing ground for the Blind cricketers and also a training center for learning. Shri Kejriwal assured Mr. Mahantesh that both facilities will be given and also wished the players for their world cup. He said that he is looking forward to welcome the team back again with the world cup trophy.

Today the team is now traveling to Dubai from New Delhi where they will be playing their first match against Australia. 

Run basically on crowd funding the team believes that the awareness and donations made towards them could make a huge difference. Away from branding, sponsorship, the team hopes one day the Barron of Indian Cricket BCCI will stop turning their deaf ears and look upon the Blind Boys and affiliate them into the mainstream of Indian Cricket. 

Now we could pray for them for their success in this World Cup.

এই লিমেরিক গুলো চোখে পড়েছে আপনার ? আমার শহরে ধাবমান এই লাইন গুলো রংরুটে এখন ঘুরে বেড়াচ্ছে। একটা গাড়ি। সাদা আম্বাসাডর। ছা পোষা তার চালক। নম্বর WB 20 G 6872 আপাতত ওই লাইন গুলোর ঠিকানা এই গাড়িটাই। কার টুন।  টেনে টুনে সংসার চালান ধনঞ্জয়। ডাকনাম বাপি। পপুলার বাপি গ্রিন ট্যাক্সি নামেই। বিগত ৫ বছর ধরে সাদামাটা ট্যাক্সি তে পরিবেশ ভাবনার বার্তা ছড়িয়ে চাকা চালাচ্ছেন ব্যাপী। এবার এগিয়ে এসেছে কিছু শুভানুধ্যায়ী মানুষজন আর কার্টুনদল, বাপিকে নামমাত্র অর্থের বিনিময় এ একটি দুধ সাদা আম্বাসাডর দিয়েছেন চিত্রশিল্পী প্রদীপ  মৈত্র। সাদা আম্বাসাডর তো নয়।  

এ যেন ক্যানভাস। এগিয়ে এলেন চিত্রশিল্পী পার্থ দাশগুপ্ত ,দেবদত্ত গুপ্ত , রিদ্ধিক দত্ত ও কার্টুনদল। একদম পিকনিক পিকনিক উদ্যমে কাজ শুরু হল। উপল গানে গানে রহস্যের জাল বিস্তার করে কার টুনএর প্রমোশনাল ভিডিও তে জানালেন নতুন বছরে কলকাতা পেতে চলেছে দারুন একটা বিষয়।

শহর জুড়ে আকাশমুখি অট্টালিকা বিকেল সকাল এর রোদচোর। খালি কনস্ট্রাকশন আর প্রোমোটিং। সবুজ খুঁজতে হয় দূরবীন দিয়ে আকাশ এর নীল তো ঔজ্জ্বল্য হারিয়ে এখন গ্রে। প্রশ্বাসে নেওয়া বাতাস এ ভাসমান ধূলিকণার পরিমান রোজ বাড়ছে তবু উদাসীন। সবাই। কোথায় চলেছি আমরা? প্রশ্নটা সবার মনে কিন্তু নিজের মতো করে সচেতনতার পাঠ টা যিনি শেখাতে চেয়েছিলেন সেই ধনঞ্জয় চক্রবর্তী সবুজ নিধন এর কুফলের প্রচারে এবারে পেলেন কার-টুন। ব্যাঙ্গচিত্র এমন মোক্ষম মাধ্যম যার জোর হাজার শব্দ হাজার চিত্রর চেয়েও বেশি। প্রখ্যাত কার্টুনিস্ট উদয় দেবএর বার্তায় উদ্যম পেল কার-টুন। 

" কেউ শিক্ষা দিয়ে যায় , কেউ শিখিয়ে দিয়ে যায় I যার বা যাদের হারাবার কিছু নেই, তারাই বোধহয় খোলস থেকে বেরিয়ে এসে নতুন কিছু করতে চায় I যাদের লোভ কম ,তাদের সাহস বেশি I সেই রকম মানুষ যারা কোনো দিনই কোনো কিছুকে নিজের বলেই দাবি করে না , আঁকড়ে থাকতে না থাকতে চায় না , সেই সকল অন্য মানুষদের জীবনে সম্পদ শুধু একটাই , যা তাঁরা আজীবন ধরে সঞ্চয় করে I আত্মসম্মান I এমনই একজন অন্য রকম মানুষ বাপি দা I আমাদের সকলের বাপি দা I যার নুন আনতে পান্তা ফুরোয় I বৃষ্টি হলেই আকাশের সাথে সাথে বাড়ির ছাদ ফুটো হয়ে টপ টপ করে জল পড়ে I আর জল পড়লেও বা কি , বাপি দার একদিন ও ভুল হয় না পাখিদের জন্য মাটির মালসাতে করে জল ধরে রাখতে I সারা দিন ঘ্যান ঘ্যান..... ' আচ্ছা বলতো দাদা , নতুন আর কি করা যায় !" " একটু ছবি আঁকা শেখাবে ?" "আমি সব সময় তো কিছু না কিছু ভেবেই চলেছি , আঁকতে গেলে আমার ভাবনাটাকে আর ছবির মাধ্যমে ফোটাতে পারি না " I এরম ঘ্যান ঘ্যান আর শোনা যায় না I এরম ভাবে আর বিরক্ত করে না কেউ ,কাউ কে I যুক্তি আর তক্কো কিন্তু সব সত্যি গপ্পো I স্বপ্ন সত্যি হতে দেখতে কে না ভালোবাসে ? আমরা, কার্টুনদল চেষ্টা করেছিল বাপি দার স্বপ্নকে ভাগ করে নিতে I কেউ ডাক্তার ,কেউ আই টির প্রোগ্রামার , কেউ নৃত্য শিল্পী, কিন্তু এদের সকলের স্বপ্নের সাথে বাপি দার স্বপ্নের রং মিলে যায় ,অন্য রকম কিছু করতে হবে I ছবি আঁকতে হবে I ছোট ছোট ছেলে মেয়েদের প্রতিভা দেখে সকলে মুগ্ধ . দেবদত্ত দা(গুপ্ত ) , প্রদীপ দা (মৈত্র ).হিরণ দা (মিত্র ), অনুশ্বেতা, ঋদ্ধিক, পিয়ালী ,রজতেন্দ্র, ছোটু , সায়ন্তিকা , সংহতি , সম্প্রীতি , সকলেই বাপিদার স্বপ্ন ছোট ছোট করে ভাগ করে নিয়েছিলেন I নতুন বছরে আরও রঙিন স্বপ্নের জন্য সকলে অপেক্ষায় আছে প্রিয় বাপি দা I 
ভালো থেকো I "

হৈ হৈ করে নতুন বছরের প্রথম দিন এ রাস্তায় ছুটলো কার-টুন যার ভিতরে বাইরে পরিবেশ সচেতনতার বার্তা। আশা সাধারণ মানুষ ,শিশুরা এসব দেখে অন্তত বুঝবে একমাত্র প্রকৃতিই পারে আমাদের বাঁচাতে তাই সবুজ প্রকৃতিকে কোনো ভাবেই নষ্ট হতে দেওয়া যাবে না।
