তখন আমায় নাই বা মনে রাখলে

সঙ্গের ছবি দুটির প্রথম টি হাওড়ার শিবপুর শ্মশানঘাটের দেওয়ালে কবি রবীন্দ্রনাথ এর এক নিকট আত্মীয়ার বিয়োগে লেখা শোক কবিতা। নিতান্তই অবহেলিত ভাবে লেখাটি সময়ের কালিঝুলি মেখে পড়ে রয়েছে । উৎসাহি লোকচক্ষুর আড়ালে।
আর দ্বিতীয় ছবিটি শিলং শহরের উপকণ্ঠে একটি বাড়ির । বাড়ি টির বিশেষত্ব হল শিলং ভ্রমণ কালে এই বাড়িতে বসেই রক্তকরবী নাটকের খসড়া রচনা করেন রবীন্দ্রনাথ । অথচ ব্যক্তিগত সম্পত্তি হওয়ার কারণে সাধারণ উৎসুক মানুষ জন এই বাড়িতে ঢোকার সুযোগ বড় একটা পায় না।
অথচ সরকার বা সংশ্লিষ্ট কর্তৃপক্ষের সামান্য তম হস্তক্ষেপ বা উদ্যোগে এই দুই ছবিই অন্য রকম হতে পারত। অসংলগ্ন বলে বা অপ্রাসঙ্গিক বলে সহজেই উপেক্ষা করা যায় এই দুই ছবিকে।

Drive to Shillong from Guahati

Driver chhotu was so much spirited that our hearts came up to our tongue. It was getting hard to remain seated calmly. So I decided to go click click. Chhotu went on speaking about his little family and 15year old career of driving. In between his parents came through few drops of tears in his eyes. He went on telling that he travelled all the states in India except bihar. When he stopped talking his memories and perhaps high spirit pressed the accelerator more. So we kept on talking to keep the speed in check. Thus crossed the couple hours drive little bit more. Thank God we reached shillong safely.

Life is beautiful.

Don't take life seriously, it is not to be taken seriously. Enjoy every bit of life. Drink it from brim to bottom. Life will take care of you.

It's FISHY! মেছো মন!

Bengali cuisine is incomplete without fish. There are lots of variety and delicacy of fish dishes. My write up on North Bengal fish, published in Hyangla Henshel, way back in November 2012. Let's do fishing.

ভেতো বাঙালির মেছো মন। মাছ ছাড়া ভাত ই মুখে রোচে না আমাদের। হাজারো মাছের লাখো ব্যঞ্জন। হ্যাংলা হেঁসেল এর নভেম্বর ২০১২ সংখ্যায় প্রকাশিত উত্তর বঙ্গের মাছ নিয়ে আমার একটা লেখা। আঁশটে হোক চারপাশ।

খ্যাপার মন বৃন্দাবন

পেন নিয়ে কাগজে কাটাকুটি হিজিবিজি, এলোমেলো অক্ষর গুলো কি যে করে! আর আমি মনে মনে বলি "কি যে করি মন যেতে চায় তাই" । এমন এক নষ্ট সময়ের বিচ্ছিন্ন ফসল।
