Ranabir and his family with me
Ranabir was my friend at Anara railway colony. After a long time we met when last time I came pune. That was a short visit. I promised Guddi, Ranabir's daughter that I shall go sometime their place. I kept my promise. Last evening spent with some good food and pinch of nostalgic memories sprinkled on them. Good old days of Anara surfaced. Will miss Ranabir as he is getting transferred to London this month. Wish him all the success keeping feet deep rooted in the ground.

Thirsty kya?!
In this scorching heat, sweating summer whenever you feel thirsty come to PARAMOUNT. Near about a century old organization was primarily a den of ANUSHILAN SAMITY, an extremist freedom fighter group in the then British India. Then the sherbet shop was named as PARADISE. As it was under the searchlight of British police the shop has to be renamed as PARAMOUNT. Later it grew as a favorite Tiffin destination for the college goers and intellectuals of the educational hub of the city, College Street. Famous scientist Acharya Prafulla Chandra Roy gave the recipe of the green coconut sherbet, till date you could find that recipe whenever you order a DAAB ER SHERBET(white sherbet in pic) . The new arrival is Tamarind sherbet (brown sherbet in pic). Other delicacies of Paramount is Cocamalai, orange, green mango grapes(saffron sherbet in pic) . Spend an afternoon and evening sipping the delicious sherbet surely you could find a testy oasis in this summer. Happy Summer everybody.

Amazing recycling!
It's a tea stall outside the shillong football stadium. The kadhai in the pictures are a little bit special. Look a little closely, They are made of scrap tyres. What a brilliant way to recycle to fulfill your need. And like every time necessity is the mother of invention here. The so called less educated, less privileged people always teach you the better ideas.

Drive to Shillong from Guahati
Driver chhotu was so much spirited that our hearts came up to our tongue. It was getting hard to remain seated calmly. So I decided to go click click. Chhotu went on speaking about his little family and 15year old career of driving. In between his parents came through few drops of tears in his eyes. He went on telling that he travelled all the states in India except bihar. When he stopped talking his memories and perhaps high spirit pressed the accelerator more. So we kept on talking to keep the speed in check. Thus crossed the couple hours drive little bit more. Thank God we reached shillong safely.

I found God every time I watch TV
I can feel the omnipresent God around me, whenever I watch television. He knows everything. He knows that victory is waiting under the veil of fear. He slaps the genius when he tastes chocolate and says it's a chocolate not an experience. He explains that all dirt are not dirty, specifically if it has been created by the youngsters in your family. In advertisements I feel the presence of God. Without whose baritone voice a television commercial is incomplete. He controls every event from birth to death and beyond. To the unfathomable bed of sea to the limitless space God can monitor every single emotions. And at the end of his 15 second presence comes the teaching that neighbour's envy is the owner's pride. Sometimes he takes shape of some avatars like film stars or sports personal, he can promote almost everything and anything under the sun. Take it a music show, or a soap opera, or a sporting event, or in some cases be it patriotism, or awareness about nature God goes flawless invincible all the time.
I feel relieved when I see that God is taking the side of a stammerer and boosts up his bogged down ego and whispers in his ear, "it takes time for buffering". My eyes become moist when my God talks for the minorities, for the downtrodden, for the powerless, for the uglies. Then I found him less like a God and more like an angel.
